Job Description:
- Perform a variety of tasks associated with waste management, clean-up activities, emergency response, wastewater treatment, and sample collection tasks;
- Be comfortable operating a variety of tools and equipment including CECOR’s, hand tools, chemical mixers & feed systems, wastewater treatment equipment, lab equipment, etc.
- Daily duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Operation of machinery, pumps and hoses;
- Waste Management / Handling waste drums, waste segregation;
- Sample collection;
- Spill response / Waste clean-up;
- Industrial Wastewater Treatment;
- Understanding of written and oral instruction;
- Adjusting quickly and effectively to changing conditions and demands;
- Being conscientious of Safety, Quality, and Teamwork;
Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License
- MUST successfully pass pre-employment background check, physical exam, and drug screening;
- Be capable of performing physical labor associated with waste management, clean-up & emergency response activities, wastewater treatment, and sample collection tasks;
- Physical strength and dexterity sufficient to perform the required task(s). Must be able to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds or more;
Other Requirements / Future Training:
- Be able to successfully complete the following employer provided training:
- OSHA – 24 Hour HAZWOPER training program
- Hazardous Waste Management
- DOT Hazardous Materials Training
- Lock Out / Tag Out
- Be capable of passing a DOT physical to operate forklifts;
- Ability to operate forklifts;
- Ability to obtain Physical / Chemical Wastewater Trainee License;
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required. Proof of education will be verified prior to employment;
